Copper is best recognized for its strength, durability, and ageless beauty. One of the greatest benefits of owning a copper sink is the properties of the material – the older it becomes, the more beautiful the finish. This is because copper is a metal that changes and evolves with time as it reacts to various elements.

Keeping your Copperhaus sink looking beautiful is simple, and in most cases – maintenance free. Copper sinks are a very functional luxury, they don’t require any special treatment from the homeowner. Here are a few guidelines and suggestions to maintain your copper sinks’s natural good looks:

• Maintaining Copper
  Our Copperhaus kitchen and bathroom sinks are completed with a patina finish that is ‘fired’ into the material, giving the sink a weathered or aged appearance. This is the desired look for a copper sink. You will find that your Copperhaus sink will “age” and look even more unique and charming as time passes than when you first purchased it! If you scrub, polish, or use any abrasive or acid-based product on your Copperhaus sink, you will damage the patina finish. The key to maintaining your sink is all about what you don’t do – don’t scrub or polish them! Easy!

• So How Do I Clean It?
  Rinse your Copperhaus kitchen or bathroom sink with water after each use. To give the sink a thorough cleaning, use mild soap and a soft cloth from time to time, and always avoid using any abrasives or acid-based products on it.

The result of this simple routine of ‘rinse and wash,’ is a copper sink that exhibits both delicate beauty, and solid strength that will provide a lifetime of enjoyment.

We are pleased to have found that our Farmhaus Fireclay sink has made its way into yet another beautiful kitchen. Our sink is included in Certified Kitchen Designer Mariette Barsoum’s inspiring design. Barsoum and her Westborough, MA based company, Divine Kitchens LLC, used our Duet Series Reversible sink model number WH3018 (see above) in White (other available finishes are Biscuit, Sapphire Blue, and Black). Our Farmhaus Fireclay line is a collection of patented farm sinks that are reversible, and finished on all four sides. These sinks come available in 20″, 24″, 30″, and a 33″ double bowl sink in various designs to easily match any kitchen whether it may be modern or traditional.

To add character and classic charm to a kitchen, one of our Vintage III faucets is a perfect addition. That’s just what designer Kelly Zamonski and her Xenia, Ohio based company, The Kitchen Place, Inc. did. Zamonski used our Vintage III bridge faucet model WHKBCR3-9101 (see above) with cross handles and side spray in Brushed Nickel (other available finishes are Polished Chrome, Antique Brass, Antique Copper, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Pewter, and Mahogany Bronze). Our Vintage III line is a collection of one of a kind patented faucets made of solid brass to ensure an unmatched quality, durability, and strength.

One way to make a dramatic statement in a kitchen is to use both a Farmhaus Fireclay sink and a Vintage III faucet. Together, they are a focal point. Award winning designer Amir Ilin and his Paramus, New Jersey business, Kuche+Cucina not only used our fireclay sink and Vintage faucet together, he also included one of our Vintage prep faucets in his design as well. Matching these Polished Chrome finished faucets in a primarily white colored kitchen made these fixtures pop! In the photo above, Ilin used our Farmhaus Fireclay Quatro Alcove sink model WHQ330 in White (also available in Biscuit, Sapphire Blue, and Black) paired with the Vintage III bridge faucet model WHKBCR3-9101 with cross handles and side spray in Polished Chrome (other available finishes are Brushed Nickel, Antique Brass, Antique Copper, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Pewter, and Mahogany Bronze). Below, our Vintage III dual handle entertainment/prep faucet model WHKSDCR3-8104 with cross handles and side spray is featured in the same kitchen. This prep faucet was used in its Polished Chrome finish, and is  also available in Brushed Nickel, Antique Brass, Antique Copper, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Pewter, and Mahogany Bronze.
